I appologize for a far to long delay, just spaced it off.
We now know that ELI OVERTON 25 Feb 1807, who married Alsey Erwin, and died in Warren Co., Iowa does NOT descend from Asa Overton, as has been thought for many years. He is the son of Ephraim Overton.

A break through of sorts that he is not from the Asa Overton line, but a huge mystery on who his parents were....We have followed Ephraim (who states his father born in VA) through Kentucky, to Indiana to Iowa...but there still are so many questions to work on to find the father of Ephraim.
