Bessie Mae Loving, 6, of Fairfield, Iowa, formerly of Hillsboro, Iowa, died at 2 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 1990 at Ottumwa Hospital, Ottumwa.
Born August 11, 1921 at Salem, she was the daughter of Elmer and Ruth Garmoe Gill. On June 6, 1940 she married Delbert Loving in Keosauqua. He died March 30, 1985.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church and the Fairfield American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her mother, Hillsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte (Jerry) Hudson, West Burlington and Mrs. Joyce (Dean) Countryman, Fairfield; one son, Robert Loving, Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Wanita (Clifford) Milks, Salem and Pauline (Ramond) Vanderberg, Burlington; two brothers, Eugene Gill, Pensacola, Florida and Kenneth Gill, Fairfield; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Loving were held Tuesday, July 31, 1990 at the Hillsboro Baptist Church with Reverend Lester Smith officiating. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.
The Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, was in charge of arrangements.
