Robert Bell

Robert Bell, 74, of Bonaparte, died October 23, 1989 at University Hospital in Iowa City.

He was the so of William C. and Elizabeth Bell and was born March 3, 1915 at Chicago, Illinois. He married Norman Fritsinger, March 24, 1937 at Memphis, Missouri. He was employed at Corry's until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Jerry Bell, Waukegan, Illinois, Larry Bell, Carmichael, California and Garry Bell, Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Arlene Berry, Hiawatha; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, William Bell, Cleveland, Ohio, James Bell, Farmington, and John Bell, Stockton, California; and two sisters, Grace Miller and Marie Bell, both of Bonaparte. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude.

According to his request, his body was donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine. A memorial has been established for the Bonaparte Cemetery and Bonaparte First Responders.
