Minnie E. McGee
Minnie E. McGee, 74, of Keokuk, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, in Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born July 23, 1915, in Clark County, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Alice Woods Ferguson. She married Harry McGee on Dec. 26, 1934, in Keokuk. She lived most of her life in Keokuk. She was employed at the St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk for about 20 years before retiring in 1966. She was a member of the Pentecostal Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include her husband, daughter Violet Adams of Keokuk; sons Harry F. McGee of Hamilton and Richard McGee of Keokuk; sisters Edna Stout of Keosauqua, Ruby Wright of Milan, Ill., Eunice "Frankie" Moore of Davenport and Irma Batten of Farmington; step sister Robbie Smith of Illinois; step brother Willie Stout of Bentensport(err); nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial HOme with the Rev. John Varner officiating.
Burial will be in the Frazee Cemetery, Alexandria.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday at Vigen Memorial Home and the family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Pentecostal Christian Fellowship Church.
