Challace "Chad" Lunsford, 55, of Birmingham Route 1 died March 27, 1989 at Van Burn County Hospital in Keosaqua.
He was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Milton to Wesley and Jessie Farley Lunsford. He lived in the Ottumwa area for 15 years prior to moving to Birmingham in 1977. He was a mechanic and farmer. He was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mt. Pleasant. He married Annette Tillotson on Feb. 7, 1953.
He is survived by his wife; his mother, Jessie Lunsford of Ottumwa; three sons, Ben of Agency, Steven of Ottumwa and Philip at home; six daughters, Susan Lunsford of Ottumwa, Peggy and Patty Lunsford of Tulsa, Okla., Jackie Traylor of Oglesby, Texas, Sandy Kay Lunsford of Canton, Mo., and Mindy Lunsford at home; four granddaughters; three brothers, James of Bonaparte, Ronald of Ottumwa and Donald of Albia; and two sisters, Evalee Westhoff of Bloomfield and Bonnie Carlo of Ottumwa.
The service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 1989 at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Russell Sporer of Calvary Open Bible Church officiating. Burial was in Shaul Cemetery.
