A.C. (Jr.) Huss

A.C. Huss, Jr. of Osceola, Iowa, son of Addison and Clella Kingery Huss, was born at Murray, Iowa Feb. 26, 1928 and died June 14, 1989 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, at the age of 61 years.

He received his education in the Osceola Schools and graduated from Clarke County High School in 1946. He farmed until 1979, sold Pioneer Seed Corn for many years, worked for John Deere Implement, drove a school bus for Clarke Community School and started J.R.'s Car Wash in 1983 which he still operated. He was a past school board member and a Veteran of Korean Conflict serving with the United States Marine Corps.

He was united in marriage to Sherrill Lee Clark on March 20, 1982 at Osceola, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherrill; sons, Brian Huss and wife, Creston, Eric Huss and wife, Lake Mary, Fla.; step-daughters, Jacque Clark Edwards and husband, West Palm Beach, Fla., Beth Ann Clark, Mt. Ayr, Iowa; step-son, John Clark and wife, Des Moines, Iowa; one granddaughter, four step-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Miller, Osceola, Iowa, Aldean Sorrells, Clarkston, Ga.

Services were held at the Kale Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 1989 with interment in Maple Hill Cemetry at Osceola.

Sherrill, formerly of Keosauqua is the daughter of the late Lola E. Martin and step-daughter of Russell Martin of Keosauqua. She may be addressed at: Route 4, Osceola, Iowa 50213.
