Michael John Hedger

Services for Michael John Hedger, 16, son of Vernon Lee and Kathleen Fedler Hedger, West Point, were at 10:30 a.m. today at the Grace Bible Church, Wever. The Rev. Dick Hicks officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, West Point.

Michael Hedger was killed in a single-vehicle accident at about 11:50 p.m. Friday, July 21, near Lowell.

He was born May 1, 1973, at Fort Carson, Colo., and had lived in West Point nine years. He would have been a junior at Fort Madison High School this fall. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church and the church's youth choir and drama group.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Keith of Fort Benning, Ga.; a sister, Debra, at home; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Humphrey, Farmington, and Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Fedler, West Point.

The Link Funeral Home, West Point, was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial is being established. Contributions may be made at the funeral home.
