Betty Henderson

Betty M. Henderson, 42, Drakesville Route 1 died March 25, 1989, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield from injuries received in a car accident in Davis County.

She was born May 25, 1946, in Pulaski to John and Frances Wallace Hartzler. She was a member of Bloomfield Christian Church and Iowa Nurses Association. She was a 1964 graduate of Davis County High School in Bloomfield and Indian Hills Community College School of Nursing in 1971. She was a registered nurse at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She married Jackie Henderson on June 20, 1964, in Pulaski.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, David and Mark of Drakesville Route 1; a grandchild; her parents of Keosauqua; her grandmother, Ruth Hartzler of Keosauqua; a sister, Barbara Daubenmier of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Dan of Pulaski.

The service was held Tuesday, March 28, 1989 at 2 p.m. at the Bloomfield Christian Church, the Rev. Don Macy officiating. Burial was in Drakesville Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to Betty Henderson Nursing Scholarship.
