Glenn W. Haynes Sr.

Glenn W. Haynes Sr., 85, of Cuba, Ill., died 2:18 p.m. Sunday Oct. 12, 1989, at Graham Hospital, Canton, Ill.

Born March 16, 1903, in Fulton Co., Ill., he was the son of John and Lydia Lingenfelter Haynes. He married Ruth Young Aug. 4, 1934, in Peoria, Ill.

He was employed with International Harvester before retiring in January 1963 after 35 years and was employed with the Cuba Locker Plant for several years. He was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church, where he also served as janitor.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jack Haynes, Burlington, and Glenn Haynes Jr., Cuba, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Betty (Randall) Tuttle, Fort Madison; three brothers, John Haynes, Canton, Ill., Butler Haynes, Mapleton, Ill., and Henry Haynes, Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Bollinger and Mrs. Coletha Millard, both of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Etta Smith, Keosauqua, and Mrs. Abby Simkins, Rome; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cuba United Methodist Church.

The service for Mr. Haynes will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cuba United Methodist Church.

The service for Mr. Haynes will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cuba United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Howell officiating. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Cuba United Methodist Church.
