Henry Thomas

Henry Thomas, son of Arthur and Mary Swift Thomas, was born October 12, 1932 at Bentonsport and died Friday, March 3, 1989 at Veterans Administration Hospital, Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 56.

He grew up in Davenport and lived in Emmetsburg before moving to Tennessee. His present home was in Cornersville, Tennessee.

He was a farm hand, served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict, and was a member of the United Methodist Church. He had been married to Janet Johnson of Emmetsburg.

Surviving are two daughters, Lois Deaton, Ames and Tammy Thomas, Nevada; two sons, Gerald and Troy Thomas, both of Ames; a granddaughter; two brothers, Clifford Thomas, Fairfield and Dale Miller, Cornersville, Tennessee; two sisters, Helen Zollars, Boone and Thelma Degner, Albert City; and two half-brothers, Harrison Thomas, Brighton and Mike Thomas, Libertyville.
