Rita Ann Bertelli Pettit

Rita Ann Bertelli Pettit, 43, Iowa City, died Sunday, January 15, 1989 in Iowa City.

She was born February 2, 1945, the daughter of Joe and Madeline Ayer Bertelli. She graduated from University High in Iowa City and attended the University of Iowa.

She was a member of the Mt. Sterling UMC, she, at the time of her death, was an operation specialist for Hawkeye Food Systems.

She married Clifford Dale Pettit on January 13, 1965 at Iowa City.

She is survived by her husband, her parents of Mt. Sterling, three brothers, Robert of Versailles, mo., Jerry of Kahoka and Gordon of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by grandparents and an infant sister, Nancy Jo.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 18, at the George L. Gay Funeral home in Iowa City, Rev. Andrew Rubenking, officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials to Mt. Sterling Methodist Church.

CARD OF THANKS

Rita Ann held a very special place in our family circle, now we know she was special to many others.

Everything possible was done for her family, prayers, calls cards, visits, food, flowers and one brought kleenex.

Now we don't know what to say only we are grateful and a sincere "Thank You". God bless you!
