Lester E. Schau

Lester E. Schau, 70, Shell Knob, Missouri, formerly of Donnellson, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 1989 at a hospital in Berryville, Arkansas.

Mr. Schau was born March 14, 1919 in Donnellson. He farmed in rural Donnellson for 29 years before moving to Donnellson in 1977. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Shell Knob where he was also president of Creative Hand Skilled. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Donnellson American Legion Post 474.

On September 28, 1947 at Primrose, he married Betty Lou Davidson, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael of Clemons, Iowa and Roger of Donnellson; four brothers, Willard, Charles, Forest and Alfred, all of Donnellson; four sisters, Mrs. Henry (Viola) Hennies, Donnellson, and Mrs. Dorothy Denly, Mrs. Katharyn Moline and Mrs. Pauline Therme, all of Farmington; five grandchildren.

His parents were Herman and Anna Rohdy Schau.

Services were held Tuesday, May 16, 1989 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Donnellson. The Reverend J.W. Stoerker officiated. Burial was in Primrose Cemetery.

Memorials are being established with the St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the American Legion.
