Gladys O. Marsh

Gladys O. Marsh, daughter of Arthur and Tillie Haney Hissem, was born October 21, 1902 in Davis County and died Wednesday, May 31, 1989 at Mom and Dad's Nursing Home, Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 86.

She grew up in Davis County and graduated from Douds High School.

She married Leslie Boekhoff December 26, 1923. They farmed near Douds until his death in 1947. She later married Everett Marsh and they farmed near Eldon. Mr. Marsh died in 1977, after which she moved to Sioux Falls to live with her daughter. She had resided at the nursing home for nine years.

Surviving are her daughter, Marylan McClellan and her husband, Coy, of Sioux Falls, two granddaughters, Linda Gaskill, Des Moines and Candice (Eakins), Moline, ill., two great granddaughters, a great grandson, a great great granddaughter, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A brother, Leo Hissem, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 2, 1989 at 1 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
