Kilgore, 70, Dies; Former Iowan

Glenn M. Kilgore, 70, of Sandwich, Illinois, a former Iowan, died Saturday at Woodward Memorial Hospital. In Feb. 1957 Mr. Kilgore received the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver award for distinguished service.

A native of Cromwell, Iowa Mr. Kilgore for the last 18 years had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. A. A. Legner, in Sandwich. He was a member of the Congretional Church in Sandwich and Canby Masonic Lodge at Cromwell.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jones Funeral Home in Sandwich, the Rev. A. C. Cristofersen officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Glendale Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.

Surviving with Mrs. Legner are a brother, Jess Kilgore, Creston, Ia.; three granddaughters, and two great grandsons.
