Funeral services for Mrs. Albert (Lula) Meincke, 87, formerly of Durant, were held at Davenport Nov. 19, 1988 with burial in Davenport Memorial Park cemetery. Mrs. Meincke died at the Royal Neighbor Home, Davenport, Nov. 16.

The daughter of Nicholas and Minnie Schaffer LaMaack, she was born in Scott county June 7, 1901. She was married to Albert Meincke in Davenport in 1920. The couple farmed in Scott county. He died in 1962.

She was a 50 year member of the Royal Neighbors of America in Durant.

She is survived by 3 sons, Arnold, New Liberty; Harold, Davenport and Robert, Durant; a daughter, Lasella Stecher, Stockton; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren.
