Funeral services for Emil Reese, 77, Walcott, were held Jan. 13, 1989 at the Runge Mortuary in Davenport, with burial in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Reese died Jan. 10 at his home in Walcott.

He was born Feb. 3, 1911 in Scott county and married Arline Meyer Nov. 5, 1937 in Davenport. The couple farmed in Scott county prior to retiring.

Mr. Reese was a member of Davenport Moose Lodge 28, the Walcott Community club and the Plus 60 club.

He is survived by his wife; 5 sisters, Alvena Druehl, Davenport; Mrs. Arnold (Florence) Gilbert and Lois Fox, both of Wheatland; Luella Petersen, Tipton and Mrs. Elmer (Blondina) Meyer, Bennett and a brother, Walter Reese, Walcott.

Memorials may be made to the Walcott volunteer fire department or a favorite charity.
