Funeral services for Dr. Eugene E. Schneckloth, 53, Fort Dodge, were held June 6 at the Runge Chapel, Davenport. Dr. Schneckloth was a former New Liberty resident. He will be buried in Memorial Park cemetery, Davenport. He died at his Fort Dodge home June 3, after an apparent heart attack.

Dr. Schneckloth was a veterinarian in New Liberty for 23 years. He later worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the meat and poultry department as a supervisor.

Dr. Schneckloth married Jeanne Schroeder in Davenport in 1947. He graduated from the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1953.

He was a past director of Liberty Trust and Savings Bank, Durant and a school board member at Bennett. Dr. Schneckloth was president of the Bennett school board for 9 years.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Jill) Burmeister, New Liberty; 2 sons, Jeff, Davenport and Jim, Bennett; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Schneckloth, Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Inez) Carlson and 3 grandchildren.
