Richard ( Rick) E. Bell died February 24th, 2003 at his home in Kirbyville, MO of cancer.
Services were held Saturday March 8, 2003 at 3 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Clearfield, Pastor Joyce Smith, of Afton Methodist Church will officiated.
Rick was born November 2, 1942 in Clearfield to Darl H. and Marietta (Statesman) Bell. They moved to Creston in 1951 where he attended school and graduated in 1961. Shortly after
graduation he joined the Navy where he served on the U.S Kitty Hawk as a Radar Technician.
He married Judy Smith and to this union one son, Brett, was born. He worked for the State Highway Commission as a Surveyor. He later divorced and moved to Theodosia, Mo. and worked for Naco, continuing as a Surveyor. He worked and lived
all over the Southern States.
In 1985 he married Kay Storjohanm. They lived in Oklahoma and Mississippi until moving to Kirbyville, Mo. in 1993. Naco dissolved and for the last 5 years of his life he worked as a grounds keeper for the Forsythe Schools.
He is survived by his wife Kay Bell of Kirbyville, Mo., and three sons; Steve, Mike and Brett. A brother, Gaylan and wife Linda Bell of Clearfield; a sister Sherry and husband Monte Parrott of Afton, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother in 1992 and father in 2001. Memorials may be directed to his family.
Burial was in the Clearfield Cemetery.
