Wessels, Margaret Snodgrass -
Burial in the Diagonal Cemetery was held Sept. 27 for Margaret Wessels, age 77, of Creston. She was born Sept. 15, 1925 in Diagonal and passed away on Sept. 22, 2002, at the Creston Nursing and Rehab center.
Funeral services for Margaret were held Sept. 27 at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service in Creston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chall and Vesper (Yashack) Snodgrass; her husband Galen Everett Wessels in 1988; a daughter, Nancy Jo Townsend; a brother, Wayne "Hops" Snodgrass; and a sister, Maxine Swanson.
Survivors include sons Randy (wife Debra) Wessels of Chino Hills, Calif., and Gary (wife Sandra) Wessels of Redlands, Calif.; sister-in-law Shirley Snodgrass of Creston; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Margaret graduated from Creston High School in 1944. She married Galen on Jan. 16, 1948. She lived in California until 1992, then returned to Creston.
