OBITUARY - MARGARET ELIZABETH CORLL

Margaret Elizabeth MOORE, daughter of Silas and Sarah [(DONALDSON)] MOORE, was born October 27, 1861, in [Mercer County] Pennsylvania, and passed away at her home April 7, 1936, at 11:20 a.m., at the age of 74 years, five months and six days.

On December 31, 1879, she was united in marriage to Jonathan CORRL. To this union 15 children were born, all of whom are living except for a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn WELLINGTON who preceded her in death. Those who survive are Joe CORLL, Margaret SMITH and Harvey CORLL of Lamoni, Mrs. Grace KUDER and Floyd CORRL of Mount Ayr, Mrs. Sadie POWELL of Kansas City, Mo., Charles CORLL and Mrs. Dalpha NEWTON, of Kellerton, Mrs. Neva WALKER of Unionville, Mo., Will, Clyde, Alva, Alma and Orville at home. Besides her children, she leaves her companion Jonathan CORLL, and one sister, Mrs. George BROWN, of Mount Ayr; three brothers, Calvin MOORE of Mount Ayr, Frank MOORE of Chariton, and Will MOORE of Tingley; also on sister and one brother deceased. There are forty grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren who with other relatives and friends and neighborsn are left to mourn her death.

"Grandma" CORLL, as she was familiarly known by her friends and neighbors, was a kind and loving mother, always thinking of the welfare of her family. She will be greatly missed by her companion who has constantly been at her side the past several years.

She was converted in the Presbyterian church at an early age and her life has ben a living testimony of her faith and she bore her long illness with a smile.

A loved one's voice is hushed in death,
A faithful heart is still;
A place is vacant by the hearth
None other e're can fill.
Her precious words of hope and cheer
Her tender loving care,
What sacred memories cluster here
Around her vacant chair.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon His love had given;
And though the body molders here
The soul is safe in Heaven.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. E. VOSS, and burial was in the Maple Row cemetery.
