In Wyoming, Jasper worked in the oil fields; also in the sugar beet fields, and for the last few years before he retired he was a janitor. He had been retired for two years.

Jasper made friends whereever he went, and was always ready to help those who needed help. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elk Lodge at Riverton.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, his sisters Alma and Elsie, and his brothers, Claude and Harry.

Surviving are his two brothers, Wm. "Bill" of Edgerton, Wis. and Ora of Kellerton, and his five sisters, Nellie COOK of Mount Ayr, Edna FUGATE and Neva HOFF, both of Kellerton, Myrtle TAGGART of Des Moines, and Mary MORRIS of Riverton, Wyo. Also several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
