Death Takes E. L. GALE, 70

Edward L[eroy]. GALE, 70, a resident of Mansfield for many years, died at his home 114 South Mulberry street, last night following a five-year illness.

Mr. GALE was born in Ellston, Iowa, May 13, 1878. He was superintendent of the Buckeye Aluminum company in Wooster during World War I and since that time had operated the E. L. GALE and Sons Floor company from his home.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice Olive [(CLARK)] GALE; three sons, Roy E. and Arthur C. GALE of Mansfield and Raymond H. GALE of Palo Alto, Claif; two daughters, Dr. Jeanne KORLJAN of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Marjorie HASSINGER of Mansfield; a sister, Mrs. Eva LEONARD of Maple Plains, Minn., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Memorial Saturday at 3 p.m., with Rev. David N. ROLLER, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial park. Friends may call at the funeral home.
