OBITUARY - BUEL S. BALL

Buel Samuel BALL, son of John Edward and Martha BALL was born at Barlow, Ohio, April 8, 1863, and departed this life at his home in Tingley, Iowa, February 19, 1936 at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 11 days.

He was united in marriage to Clara HADDON (sic, HADDOW) October 15, 1885, at Barlow, Ohio. They were privileged to have observed their golden wedding anniversary last fall.

Mr. BALL'S death is indeed a severe loss to his bereaved family and the source of keen loss to the community. He leaves his family the legacy of an honored name cherished assurance that he they called husband and father, one of the noblest works. An honest man and a friend whom his acquantances may aptly apply the words "It was a privilege to know him." He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge Barlow, Ohio, for over 40 years.

He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, two sons, Harold of Shannon City and Carl of Tingley, and an only daughter, Lucy O'GRADY, of Ellston; one brother E. BALL, of Van Wert; 11 grandchildren and one great-granchild, a host of other relatives and friends.

The voice is mute and still heart, that loved us well and Oh, bitter was the trial took from us one as good as you.

The town and vicinity were shocked to hear of the sudden death fellow townsman, B. S. BALL was stricken Wednesday morning about 9:30 with acute heart failure.

Funeral services were held Methodist church Friday afternoon at one o'clock, conducted by Pastor, Rev. A. C. STARK. Interment was in the Tingley Cemetery.
