DEATH TAKES LIBBIE KUBART MLINAR,84

Mrs Libbie KUBART MLINAR, 84-year-old pioneer resident of this community died Sat, Sept. 26, at the Atkinson Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for five weeks. Prior to entering the hospital, she had been a resident of the Atkinson Good Samaritan Center for almost a year. Mrs. MLINAR was the widow of the late Joseph MLINAR.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Monday at the Methodist Church with the Rev Harold DODSON officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. The pallbearers were Laurence and Art PACHA, Ray and Robert LeMUNYAN, Charles and Harlan KUBART, all of whom are nephews of Mrs. MLINAR.

Libbie Bessie KUBART, daughter of Joseph and Anna HOLUB KUBART, was born Oct. 26, 1879, in Chicago, Illinois. She came to the Atkinson [NE] community with her parents when she was seven-years-old and lived here the remainder of her life.

She was married to Joseph A. MLINAR Feb. 8, 1898, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Atkinson. For a short time after their marriage they lived on a homestead 20 miles southwest of here, then moved to a farm 4 1/2 miles southwest of Atkinson [NE] where they lived until they retired and moved to town 20 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. MLINAR celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1948, and all six members of the original wedding party were present for the occasion.

Mrs. Mlinar is survived by two sons, Charlie and Edward of Atkinson; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Mildred) JOHNSON of O'Neill, Mrs. Helen BECK of Atkinson, Mrs. Dwaine (Hazel) LOCKMON of Stuart; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, James KUBART and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Victoria) LeMUNYAN and Mrs. Mary PACHA, all of Atkinson [NE].

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; one daughter, Mrs. Merlin (Eva) QUIGLEY, three infant children, and one brother, Theodore KUBART.
