OBITUARY - MRS. WILLIAM F. WOODS

Barbara Ann BLAKSLEY, daughter of Haslip C. and Mary (DeVOSS) BLAKESLEY was born near Knowlton, Iowa, July 18, 1873 and passed away December 11, 1940 at age 67 yrs. 4 mos. 23 days. Her mother passed away and left her at the tender age of 15 years to care for her father and four brothers, whom she tenderly cared for until she was married and had a family of her own. At the age of 16 years she joined the Baptist Church and remained a faithful member as long as the church was in Knowlton. In later years owing to deafness she did not attend but when thought of church work and at the last renewed her faith in the Master and expressed her willingness to go.

On November 8, 1891 she was united in marriage with William F. WOODS. To this union nine children were born, one daughter dying in infancy. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband William F. WOODSs, five sons, and three daughters; Harry F. WOODS of Diagonal, Iowa, Glen WOODS of Benton, Iowa, Dorcie HILL of Benton, Iowa, Ollie GRAHAM of Des Moines, Iowa, and Eunice ROBINSON of Ellston, Iowa, four brothers, Ryenza BLAKESLEY and Isaac BLAKESLEY of Forsythe, Montana, William BLAKESLEY and Solomon BLAKESLEY of Phoenix,Arizona, five grandchildren, a niece and three nephews and many other relatives and friends.

NOTE: William F. WOODS was born in 1864, and died in 1946. William and Barbara were interred at Centenary Cemetery near Knowlton, Ringgold County, Iowa.
