Mrs. M. WILLETS DIES AT 81.

Mrs. Myrtle Mae WILLETS, 81, Creston, Iowa died at 3:40 p.m. Saturday at the Creston Manor Nursing Home. She had entered the nursing home in January, 1975. Her home before entering the nursing home had been at 603 South Poplar Street.

Her funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. today at the First Christian Church Rev. Lester PEARSON, the pastor, officiated. Music was by Mrs. Marion STEWART, organist and Kathy MERCER who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art". Casket bearers were Orval JACKSON, Everett WILLETS, Lowell WILLETS, Charles JACKSON, John WILLETS and Larry WILLETS. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery. The Keating_Lindsey Funeral Home was in charge of the service.

Her family said a memorial has been established for the First Christian Church of which she was a member.

Myrtle Mae MAHON was born in Knowlton, Iowa, in Ringgold County, September 17, 1895. She was the daughter of John and Ardilla (CONLEY) MAHON. She moved to Creston when she was a small child land all her life was spent in Ringgold and Union Counties.

She was married at Maryville, Missouri, February 1, 1923 to Ernest E. WILLETS, who preceded her in death March 15, 1973.

Mrs. WILLETS is survived by five sons; Everett WILLETS, Lowell WILLETS, and John WILLETS, and Walter JACKSON all of Creston, Iowa, and Orval JACKSON of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth WRIGHT of Creston, Iowa; seventeen grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepson. Mrs. WILLETS was a member of the Birthday Pals Club.
