OBITUARY - MRS. DAVE NEPTUNE.

Frances Ethel VANCE was born November 18, 1874, at Foosland, Champaign county, Illinois, the daughter of Wm. S. and Eliza J. VANCE, who preceded her in death, her mother September 28, 1884; her father December 22, 1912, and a sister, Clara O. HOGUE, May 4, 1926. She leaves her loving husband, Dave NEPTUNE, and three brothers, Willis F. of Mound City, Mo., Walter E. of Easton, Mo., and Claud F. of Blockton, Iowa; seven nieces and ten nephews. She died Friday evening, August 5, 1927.

She moved with her father and family to Ringgold county, Iowa, in 1897.

In the home where she died she was united in marriage to Dave NEPTUNE, of Chariton, Iowa. Here she lived, proud of her husband, home, and friends, and loyalty to them was a pronounced trait of her character. Although an intense sufferer the last few months, in her home, and with her friends she fought bravely, patiently and cheefully. her nearest friends did not realize her serious illness. She said in her last hours, "Please be quiet and let me sleep, sleep, sleep." So a strong life was ended. She was converted and united with the United Brethren church at the age offour years. Shortly after her marriage she united with the United Presbyterian church of which her husband was already a member, and has ever been a faithful attendant as long as her health permitted.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home, being conducted by Rev. William J. COULSTON, pastor of the Baptist church, and interment was in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.]
