LYNDEN EUGENE GUESS.

Lynden Eugene GUESS, son of Gerald and Bessie GUESS, was born August 31, 1931, and died at the home of his parents in Mount Ayr, Iowa, on May 23rd, 1933, at the age of one year, eight months and 22 days. He was of delicate constitution, but his many sweet little ways endeared him to all. Left to mourn his going are, besides his parents, one sister, Mary Ann, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. O. BROOKS of Grand City, Mo., and Mrs. Mary GUESS of Mount Ayr and Mr. N. D. GUESS of Overland Park, Kan.

Could love have saved,
Thou hast not died,
Our dear, sweet child;
Yet, 'tis sweet balm to our despair
Fond, fairest boy,
That heaven is God's, and thou art there,
With Him in joy.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Rhoades Funeral Home by Rev. W. Harold SMITH, pastor of the Church of Christ, and the body was laid to rest in the Kellerton [Maple Row] cemetery.
