OBITUARY - DORIS MARIE GROUT.

Doris Marie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray GROUT, was born November 20, 1926, at their home in Liberty township. After a prolonged illness she departed this life March 18, 1928, at the age of one year, three months and 28 days. All was done by loving hearts and willing hands that could be done during her long illness. The anxious, faithful mother was ever by her side watching and ministering patiently. Doris has gone to join the innumerable company who stand before the throne of God and worship Him forever. The progress was hindered here but it will not be retarded there.

"I take these little lambs," said Jesus
And lay them on my breast;
Protection they shall find in me,
In me be ever blest.
Death may the bands of life unloose,
But can't dissolve my love;
Millions of infant souls compose
The family above."

Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. L. THOMAS and interment in the Tingley cemetery.

NOTE: Ray I. GROUT, father of Doris Marie, was born on December 16, 1896, and died in July of 1967 with interment at Tingley Cemetery. Ethel M. (ANDERSON) GROUT, mother of Doris Marie, was born May 25, 1896, and died March 10, 1922 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Decatur County, Iowa.
