OBITUARY - MRS. RAY GROUT.
Ethel M. ANDERSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph ANDERSON, was born May 25th, 1896. She was united in marriage to Ray I. GROUT. She died March 11th, 1922, near Tingley, Iowa, after a brief illness, aged twenty-five years, nine months and twenty-one days. She was baptised into the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in early childhood by H. A. STEBBINS at Lamoni, Iowa. She continued in the faith of her choice to the time of her death. She leaves a husband, mother, step-mother, two sisters, one brother, several aunts, uncles, and other relatives to mourn the loss of an affectionate wife, daughter and friend. She was an attendant of Drake University and Graceland College, making herself competent as a music teacher. The last five years of her life has been spent in this department of her work. The funeral services were held Thursday forenoon at the Tingley U.P. church by Elder BELL, of Lamoni, assisted by Rev. W. W. GORDON. Interment was made at Lamoni, Decatur, Iowa [Rose Hill Cemetery].
NOTE: Ray I. GROUT, husband of Ethel M. (ANDERSON), was born on December 16, 1896, and died in July of 1967 with interment at Tingley Cemetery. Doris Marie, daughter of Ray I. and Ethel M. (ANDERSON) GROUT died at the age of one in 1928 with interment at Tingley Cemetery.
