OBITUARY - CHARLES GARD.

Died, Saturday, Jan 13, 1895, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. W. FULLER of Clearfield, Chas. GARD, aged 75 years. Mr. GARD was born in Butler county, Ohio, June, 1822. While a boy he moved with his parents to Indiana where he lived until 1867 when he came with his family to Ringgold where, with the exception of a few years sojourn in Union county, he has made his home. His life companion preceded him across the dark river eighteen years ago. Since then he has made his home with his children and friends. For some time his eyesight has been failing and the last year he has been almost blind. He leaves a host of friends who were always glad to help him bear life's burden.

NOTE: Charles was interred at Grove Chapel Cemetery, Kent, Union County, Iowa.
