OBITUARY - JACOB CUTSHALL

Jacob CUTSHALL was born February 16, 1853, in Huntington county, Pennsylvania, and departed this life at his home near Benton, Iowa, Monday morning, October 24, 1927, at the age of 74 years, eight months and eight days.

He was united in marriage to Annie E. CLAYTON April 20, 1879. To this union were born ten children. Two children died in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his loss one brother, Amon CUTSHALL of Kansas City, Kan., and one sister, Eliza CUTSHALL, of Union county, Iowa; his wife and eight sons: Walter, of Creston, Iowa; Peter, of McHenry, N.D.; Jakie, Willie, Edd, Clarence, Arthur and Earl, of Benton, Iowa; two grandchildren, Lola and Leonard of Bonner Springs, Kan.

Mr. CUTSHALL came to this county a boy of thirteen years and lived here ever since. He was a Kind husband and father. His presence and fatherly council will be greatly missed in the home.

"Call not back the dear departed,
Anchored safe where storms are o'er.
On the border land we left him,
Soon to meet and part no more.
"When we leave this world of changes
When le leave this world of care,
We shall find our missing loved one
In thos mansion bright and fair."

The funeral services were conducted from the pulpit of the Methodist church in Benton, by Elder J. D. DILLE of the Church of Christ. Interment was made in Benton cemetery.

We thank the relatives and friends for the floral offerings and for their kind deeds they did during the sickness and death of our husband and father.
