Celebrate Silver Wedding

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Stender was made merry Thursday evening of last week when twenty of their friends called and reminded them that their ‘cup of happiness’ would not be full until they were reminded of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary.

The home was taken charge of by the friends. The spokesman informed Mr. and Mrs. Stender that if they expected to continue their happiness in wedlock they must be re-married. Mrs. George Wyland, dressed in a neat suit of conventional black that fit like the ‘paper on the wall’ acted as Rev. “So and So” with little Willie Marquardt as ring bearer, brought in two ‘chicken bands” on a sofa pillow.

The ceremony was very impressive bringing tears to the eyes of the audience (from laughter). The min….(article cut off)
