Don't know if my relative is connected to yours, but, there is a Samuel Vincent West buried in our ancestral cemetery in Polk county. He was a teamster during the Civil War. The cemetery is Pine Hill in Saylorville. You can see the head stones by going to the gravestone section of this site. His wife was Jerusha Ann Howard.
