William Kilgore married Betsy F. Brewer, his first wife:
Betsy F. Brewer, she was born before 1820 in New Hampshire.
Some family history notes indicate that Betsy's marriage to William was annulled by her family, but I haven't found evidence of this and I have found no evidence of her death. She and William had one daughter, Theresa Jane Kilgore, who later settled in CA along with her paternal grandparents, Matthew and Massa Kilgore near Sacramento and later married Henry Fotheringham. THe second wife's name was Elizabeth Hanlon and she accompanied William to CA in 1850 with their two small children. Those children settled in the same area as William and his father Matthew; Rancho Cordova, CA area.
