I am with a group of researchers who are researching the 7th Mississippi Infantry. We believe that Edmund James Goode who is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Polk Co. IA., may be E. J. Goode who was a captain in the 7th Mississippi and formed Co. H, "Goodes Rifles" of the same unit. He ended the war as a colonel. Edmund may also be found as Elias J. Goode. Any information on this man would be greatly appreciated.
