I found a listing of this marriage.

Dwight A. Littlejohn, age 35 to Neal Nina L. Hawkins, age 32 on 18mar1935, Pg. 178

I have not found a book listing the Polk Co. Births in the range of 1935 to 1945

In the 1930 - Iowa - Polk Co. - Des Moines - Ed. 30, Pg. 10B - Dwight A and Donald E. are living with their brother in law Fred L. Thomas and his wife Edna I.

In the 1920 - Iowa - Polk Co. - Des Moines - Ed. 122, Pg. 13B is the listing for Fred L. Thomas and family, while on Pg. 20A, Dwight is listed as brother in law. Same address, dwelling and family numbers.
Also in Mahaska Co. - West Des Moines Twp. - Ed. 94, Pg. 3A, Dwight and Donald are listed with their parents Frank and Cathrin.
