Joan Chapman, 88, passed away Saturday, February 25th at Taylor House. A Celebration of Her Life will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 29 at Brooks Tonini Chapel, 2135 SW 9th St.
Joan was born in England on August 10, 1923. She moved to America 27 years ago, and has lived between her families in Des Moines and Michigan.
Joan enjoyed senior center activities, especially playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; her son, David; and her brother, Douglas Lawrence.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Anne (Don) Davey and Pauline (Ken) Kuhn; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gerald (Molly) Lawrence.
