Debbie (Lehman) Dillard, 55, passed away on February 22, 2012. Debbie is survived by her daughters, Emily Downs and Amanda Dillard; grandson, Jakob; mother, Lois Henry; sister, Peggy Galivan; and brother, Gary Lehman. She is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Hoover and father Gene Lehman.
Debbie was raised in Boone, Iowa and graduated high school in Redding, California. Debbie put herself through nursing school and graduated from DMACC in Boone with a nursing degree. Debbie was a Registered Nurse for 25 years. She raised her daughters as a single mother and worked as a nurse at a local addiction center. She loved spending time with her grandson and her daughters. Debbie leaves those who loved and knew her with great memories. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund to assist with the funeral expenses at http://debbiedillard.bbnow.org.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone, Iowa 50036, with a lunch to follow at the Moose Lodge at 812 8th Street in Boone.
