Lorraine M. Steely, 90, died Thursday, October 25, 2012, at her home in Union Park Health Care Center. Private burial at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Lorraine was born in Fort Dodge on July 25, 1922 to Andrew and Myrtle (Burington) Bakken and moved to Des Moines in 1957. She worked as a bookkeeper for International Harvester. Lorraine's family was important to her. She made a home for her parents and brother, Harvey, until their deaths. She enjoyed the Christmas season, cooking, bird figurine collecting, and walking her dog, "Digit" at the Fair.
Lorraine is survived by her brother, Wayne Bakken and his family.
