Dorothy E. Rheuport, 84, of the 2900 block of State Street died of complications of a stroke Wednesday at Mercy Hospice-Johnston. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Rheuport was born in Hampton and had lived in Des Moines since 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of Secret Pals Club. She was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Rheuport of Mitchellville, Ronald Rheuport of Des Moines and Jerry Sporaa of Milwaukee; two daughters, Linda Carico of Des Moines and Sheryl Polson of Des Moines and San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Orville Kinsel of Hampton; three sisters, Ruth McMichael of Ocala, Fla., June Reese of Des Moines and Betty Harms of Hanlontown; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamiton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice-Johnston.
