Ruth Marie Cumming, 88, of Madrid died of complications of diabetes Thursday at Madrid Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sanborn Memorial Chapel at Madrid Home, with burial at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Mrs. Cumming had lived in Des Moines all her life before moving to Madrid six years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafts.
A sister, Edna Schwartz of Des Moines, survives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
Friends may call an hour prior to the time of services Monday at the Chapel. Sunberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid is handling arrangements.
