Harold Meyer

Harold Meyer, 44, of Palmer died Tuesday, May 22, 1973 at Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge, after being hospitalized since suffering injury in a motor vehicle accident on Oct. 28, 1972.

Funeral .services were held May 25 at St. John Lutheran Church, Lizard Township with burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Palmer. Casket bearers were Elmer Beekman. Gerald Beekman, Robert Beekman, Dennis Beekman, Darrell Poppinga and Dean Housken.

Harold Meyer was born March 13, 1928 in Lincoln Township, Pocahontas County, Iowa. He graduated from the Palmer school and was married to Janette Young at Pocahontas on Oct. 5, 1962. They made their home near Palmer and he was employed at Hormel Packing Co., Fort Dodge.

Survivors include the widow Janette; mother, Mrs. Tena Meyer of Pocahontas, and brother Carl of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his father. Harm Meyer, and two brothers.
