Former Resident is Buried in Nebraska
Funeral services were held Friday at Hastings, Nebr., for Mrs. William Hinn, 79, a former resident of the Laurens community, who died Wednesday, April 21 after being bedfast for several months.
Mary Caroline Hinn, daughter of Jacob and Catherine Goetz, was born .at Marion, Wis., Dec. 1, 1868. She was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian church. In 1892 she married William Hinn, at which time she became a member of the Lutheran church.
Following their marriage they lived for four years at Fennimore, Wis. They then moved to Laurens and made their home here until 1918, when they moved to Hastings. Five children were born to this union, two of whom preceded her in death. Mr. Hinn died in 1932.
Survivors include three children, Mrs. Fred Polenske of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Clarence Bachman of North Bend, Nebr., and Mrs. A. G. Fischer of Hastings; one brother, John Goetz of Madison, Wis.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
