Hi Susan,

Land records are held by the Johnson County Recorder’s office in Iowa City. One has to walk in to search the records. The information is not available on-line.

Using Ancestry.com, I found that William Daniels IS listed in the Iowa City Directories of 1915 and 1918. His widow, Mary, is listed at the same address in the 1920 Federal Census. I have made copies of the pages and will be sending them to you in another email, off this list.
