I am looking for information on brothers George Seymour RUTHERFORD (born 1831 Vermont) and Augustine Seymour RUTHERFORD (born 1838 Vermont). Their mother was Nancy Theresa (SMITH) RUTHERFORD born 1813 Vermont. Their father was Martin Seymour RUTHERFORD born 1805 Vermont. Came to Muscatine after the 1856 state census. Some of the family is on the 1860 Muscatine census in various places throughout the county. Nancy had a boarding house in town. The boys were working on farms. One daughter, Alice became a Catholic Nun. Martin was on Michigan census at his married daughter's farm. Nancy dies and is buried in the Old St. Mary's Cemetery 1866. Martin moves to Michigan. George stays in Muscatine, Augustine moves to Albuquerque NM after marrying Hester EVELAND. Need info on Alice who was the Catholic Nun. Does anyone know how to find her "Sister" name, so I can figure out who she is in the Catholic Cemetery?
