Funeral services for Wanda Walters, 52, Durant, were held May 31, 1989 at the Lacock Funeral Home in Durant with the Rev. David Lawson officiating. Burial was in the Davenport Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Walters died May 29 at the Americana Nursing Home in Davenport.

The daughter of Paul and Madelee Dotson Smith, she was born July 28, 1936 in Bell Farm, Ky. She was a member of the Stockton Baptist church and was an avid bowler. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Walters is survived by 2 sons, Paul and Arthur, both of Lafayette, La.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Lola) Van De Walle, Durant and Mrs. Bill (Sandra) Van Atta, Wilton; 7 grandchildren, 1 brother and 3 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emerson Walters, a son and her companion, Gordon Martz.
