Funeral services for Howard Wolf, 87, West Liberty, were held June 12, 1989 at West Liberty Chapel of the Barker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Wolf died June 11 at his home in West Liberty, following an extended illness.

The son of Charles and Rozelle Nichols Wolf, he was born Jan. 13, 1902 in West Liberty. He married Carolyn Idle Nov. 28, 1926 in Iowa City. He had been employed as the manager of the Breese Auto Parts Store in West Liberty for more than 25 years. He was a member of the United Methodist church.

Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife; a son, Jerry, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Robert, Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister, Alice Wolf, Santa Barbara, Calif.; 2 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
