(Muscatine) Phillip J. Mackey, for years one of Muscatine's leading business men and lately one of the best know pearl buyers in America, succumbed at his home on West Fourth street in Muscatine at an early hour Friday morning to a complication of diseases. His death was not unexpected, the seriousness of his condition having been realized for several days.
