Funeral services for Paul Coglizer, 87, were held at First Church United, West Liberty, May 15, 1989 with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery. Mr. Coglizer died at the Simpson Memorial Home May 11.

The son of Oscar and Mary Lyman Coglizer, he was born in Osceola, Nebr. and was married to Norma Coble in Winfield, Kans. Feb. 10, 1931. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, he operated a grocery store in Wichita, Kans. for 11 years and a Gamble's store in Anthony, Kans. He also worked in real estate and accounting in Anthony. He moved to West Liberty in 1983.

He was an accomplished musician, playing in the University band and directing the Wichita Boeing band.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Woody, West Liberty; a sister, Marjorie Carson, Oakland, Nebr.; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
